- 150g flour
- 125g butter
- 45ml sugar
- 15ml water
- 1 egg yolk
for filling:
- 6-7 apples
- 65g ginger sugar
- 1/2 t salt
for covering:
- 150g desiccated coconut
- 75g butter
- 50g flour
- 30ml sugar
- whipped cream
Method:
Preheat oven to 200° C.
Mix ingredients for pastry and press dough into pastry dish 28cm in diameter.
Prick pastry and bake for 20 minutes. Reduce oven to 200° C.
Core and peel and slice apples.
Mix sugar and salt.
Layer mixture on pastry.
Mix all ingredients for covering except whipped cream, with tips of fingers until you have a crumble pastry.
Sprinkle over the apple mixture.
Bake for 25-30 minutes and serve hot or cold with whipped cream.
